lauren and nathan one shot
I’d been best friends with Nathan for about as long as I could remember. We were like two peas in a pod. But how could I tell him how my feelings were changing for him? Firstly I thought it was because I’d heard him sing with his band mates but when I think about it everything he does just makes me smile. They way he slowly flicks his fringe out of his eyes. The way smiles at me. The way he looks at me. Everytime I think about what he does, I fall deeper and deeper in love with him.
However him and his band had been out of the country for while and with every text and call it made me pine more for him. I need to tell him how I felt before I exploded. It felt like there was a huge weight on my shoulders. So I plucked up the courage and arranged to meet him at the airport when he came home.
After phone call saying he was about to board for his last plane I got dressed and washed and headed for the airport. When I got there I took a deep breathe before entering the ‘arrivals’ part of the airport. My heart raced. Whether it killed our friendship I had to tell him how I felt the minute I see him. But things arnt always that simple are they? As I approached further down the complex of the airport there were huge crowds of people….their fans…they were waiting for the boys. How was I going to get to Nath with them there. I started to panick…my heart raced. But I found the will power to calm myself down and found a seat at the side and wait patiently.
All of a sudden the complex filled with screaming girls! He was here. Girls and some boys jumped up and down in excitement as they greeted the boys and Nath. I watched Nath as he murged from the crowds of girls. With every step he took there was someone asking for a picture or a signature. Minutes felt like hours. Until he finally caught a glimpse of me and came running over to me wrapping his arms around me and lifting me up and twirling me around.
“God its so good to see you” he beamed. “What did you desperatly need to tell me?” he asked confused. My mind went blank. The words wouldnt come out. I froze! I couldnt speak, or even move my body. What was wrong with me? I looked into his greeny bluey eyes and just melted. I felt warm…I finally found the courage to say it….
“I-I-I-I lo…” I started to say before a girl butted in.
“Oh my god nath can I have a picture please?” she fangirled.
I felt hurt! I had just found the right words to say and I missed the opportunity! But worst of all, he didnt even say no to the girl and ask me what I was going to say. I looked at him hopelessly. My heart felt broken and tears began to fill in my eyes. I had to walk away. So with one more glance of him and another girl I turned around and started walking outside. Tears fell down my face as I took each step. My brown hair started to fly backwards as the speed in which I was walking created a wind. How could I be so stupid?
I carried on walking until…
“Wait! Lauren! Wait!” I heard in the distance. I stopped and turned around to see Nathan running towards me with his backpack on his one shoulder.
“What were you going to say?” he asked. “Why are you crying?” he added as he seen the tears I tried to wipe away with my sleeve.
“It doesnt matter” I said stubornly as I strormed away.
“No!” he shouted grabbing my shoulder and turning me to face him. “Tell me!” he demanded.
“I love you!” I blurted out. He looked shocked. His eyes widened. My heart felt like it had stopped. “And I know you dont feel the same” I added before turning back around and carring on walking.
“Wait!” he yelled. I turned back around. He looked deep into my brown eyes. “I love you too!” he admitted.
“What?” I asked, not believing what I heard.
“I love you” he smirked as he dropped his backpack to the floor, pulled me towards him and locked his lips against mine. The kiss I’d been longing for a while was finally here…

Another Alice and Jay One Shot
The sun beamed down onto my pale skin. I looked up into the clear blue sky. Not a cloud in sight as I laid on the towel between me and sand. I carefully picked up the soft warm sand with my right hand and let it run through my fingers repeatedly. I could hear seagulls squarking and the clash of the waves as they hit the shore. I tapped my foot in time to the music which was coming from a near by group of youngsters who thought it was cool to loudly play their music on the beach… however I couldnt complain when they were playing my sort of songs.
Everything was so peacefull and calm. I felt like I could lay here for a lifetime. However something was missing… I couldnt quite think what though. Maybe it was a nice cold lolly? or ice cream? Or maybe it was ….ermm… suncream… I was so pale and the sun insisted on burning my skin.
I sat up and brushed my hands together getting the sand off them. I then reached into my beachbag and searched until I found the suncream. I flipped the cap off and squirted the substance into my one hand, put the suncream down and then rubbed it gently into my burning skin. I then threw the suncream back in my bag and grabbed my sunglasses and placed them on my face and laid back down.
Again everything was so calm and peacefull. The sky was still blue and clear…but something was still missing. I couldnt think of what it was until a figure stood to the side of me blocking my sun. I looked up at the tall figure to see Jay. His curly hair looked more curlier than ever. His pale skin sparkled as the sun shone onto it. And his smile beamed as bright as the sun.
“Where have you been?” I asked with a grin on my face. He walked more toward me, kicked off his shoes and lifted his one leg over me and kneeled down with me between him.
“Your heavy!” I gasped.
“Dont exagerate, Im not putting much weight onto you, im on my knees” he replied as he leaned towards me and slowly took my sunglasses off my face. “Thats better, I can see you green eyes now” he added with a smirk on his face.
“But I cant see you now. The suns in my eyes” I moaned teasing him.
“You dont need to be able to see me” he sofly responded as he leaned closer and closer to me and finally pushed his lips against mine. It felt like fireworks! He slowly pulled away and stared into my eyes.
“Now I know what was missing” I responded.
“What?” Jay asked still sparkling like a god.
“You” I announced. He giggled and then leaned towards me once again, locking his lips against mine.
I hear you close, I hear you breathe; and now it’s like you’re here, you’re haunting me..
